Easy Discards-
Instruction manuals for household equipment- You can almost always find them online, if you ever need them. To be safe, check first before recycling the paper manuals.
Takeout menus- Those are online too. Recycle the paper ones.
Broken whatever- If you haven’t gotten it fixed in the last few months, don’t bother keeping it.
Apps you don’t use- Prioritize the apps you use most often and delete the rest. You might also take the time to unsubscribe from unwanted emails and newsletter. Declutter out your inbox!
Pens and markers- Test on scrap paper. Throw away the dry ones.
Consolidate-
Near-empty bottles in the bathroom or kitchen – Store them upside down to release the last drops of shampoo, body wash, sunscreen or catsup. Or decant the last bit from the old bottle into the new one. Check if the plastic bottle can be recycled.
Desk paraphernalia- Rubber bands, paperclips, stray batteries… gather them up from where they have spread out and put them into a single small bowl or tray.
Donate-
Books- If you don’t want to read the book again, or you realize you don’t want to finish reading it, donate it to family or friends, or give it to your local library, prison or school.
Clothes- If it doesn’t fit, you don’t like, or you no longer wear it, donate so someone else can get use out of it.
Duplicate or unused items- Women’s shelters and thrift stores can make use of these items such as kitchen utensils, linens, and home décor.
