If you go outside during the summer, you will likely have grass pollen clinging to your hair, skin, clothing and shoes when you come inside. Therefore, if you are allergic to grass pollen, take off your shoes at the door to avoid tracking pollen all over the carpet. Take a shower and put your clothing in the wash as soon as possible.
The best allergy strategy for summertime: Protect yourself as you would from the effects of the sun. When outside, wear a hat, sunglasses, shirt with long sleeves, and long pants.
